Did you know that Pontecesures was, in 1925, the first town in Spain to organise a second-hand car fair, taking as an example that of Leipzig (Germany), one of the most relevant in the world at that time?
This monument commemorates that event with a granite replica of the first gasoline car that circulated in Galicia, the Renault Freder PO-02, which was exhibited in the first two editions on a brick pedestal.
