The origin of Celtic ceramics dates back to the so-called "Cerámica Artística Gallega" (Galician Artistic Ceramics), created in 1925, from which the first handcrafted pieces of this brand came from Eugenio Escuredo, taking the experience of Sargadelos as a reference.
Numerous artists, who today form part of the plastic history of Galicia in the 20th century, collaborate in the designs of this ceramic. Castelao, Asorey, Bonome, Acuña, Maside, Torres, Sobrino, Fabeiro, Víctor García and others, left their artistic mark in this Galician Plastic University, which represents the soul of Galicia.
"O tesouro", by Asorey, is the most important piece. The original in wood had received a second medal at the National Exhibition of Fine Arts in 1924 (*). Versions of this work were made in different sizes.
